Budding data scientists and industry partners have until June 13 to apply
Cybera is happy to announce the return of the Data Science for Albertans Fellowship program. From July 19 – August 27, emerging data scientists (Fellows) will be paired with industry partners, including entrepreneurs, startups, or small to medium-sized companies who are interested in adopting data science practices or exploring a data science problem.
This program provides the Fellows with the opportunity to tackle a “real-world” data science problem. They will receive professional development and networking opportunities, and will be supported with a stipend for their work. They will also be mentored throughout the six-week sprint by experienced data scientists.
The industry partners will be matched with 3-4 Fellows, who will provide an early stage prototype of a product or concept, and thus “de-risk” data science adoption for the company. The industry partner will be available to the Fellows as a subject matter expert, to help produce a successful product.
This program is run with support from the Calgary Innovation Coalition & Alberta Innovates Regional Innovation Networks. To learn more about eligibility, past fellowship programs, or to register, visit the Fellowship’s website.
